Art directed and developed (designed + animated) a handful of CCA brand items, including swag, email headers and footers, brand templates, dynamic logo intro’s, video bumpers and bugs, etc. In developing these resources, I created various internal and external toolkits and training materials for staff, faculty, and vendors to utilize.

Main efforts concentrated on art directing the post design release of the site, providing recommends and solutions for improving usability and functionality of an 65% completed website—which meant making minor but thoughtful changes, providing responsive mobile and desktop mockups, and/or finding ways to add elements to the existing ecosystem, and improving the visual design overall.
Detailed design focus includes: Homepage re-envisioning for tableaus and copy, footer map and address additions with adjusted grid-based alignments and link-ability, newsroom search redesign with multi-level filter system, visualization of our partner logos, fine-tuning overlay effect details on hover links, planning ew interaction for the search tool on mobile and desktop without adding more elements, and making recommendations and mockups for the individual story (blog) modules used throughout the site.

Collaborated with the editor and project manager to re-envision the colleges community magazine—including adjusting the format to a non-standard mailer size, re-designing for brand, and bringing in fresh, vivid artwork and colors to the pages in an “art school” style—alongside our clients and stakeholders who provided the content storytelling overall.

Art directed and designed (+ illustrated) a high volume of materials for this nationwide campaign. The goal was to create something flexible, vibrant, and extremely modular to accommodate any format— email, direct-mail, social blog, online banners, large-scale signage, way-finding, programs, name-tags—while also highlighting the SF area.

A quick-turn project to refresh and modernize an outdated logo for readability, and awareness—for all types of use such as branded collateral (letterhead, envelopes, stickers), digital graphics and banners, window and location signage, and vehicle clings.

Collaborated with copywriter and project manager to creative concept, art direct, and design an integrated end-of-year campaign—made up of all the associated events—for the first time in the schools history. The design reflects the 3-dimensional vantage points from environmental theme used in the actual space of the exhibition, using color to differentiate the various sub-campaigns—like colored light being changed on a blank white wall.

This annual fundraising Gala, with a 70’s tropical disco theme was a quick-turn integrated campaign, ranging from printed and digital deliverables (flyers, posters, event signage and ticketing, social templates, emails, and digital banners), and supports the rehabilitation, and/or release of animals in association of the SF Zoo.

Spearheaded this personal initiative to consolidate internal knowledge and workflow standards into a simple, easy to read and follow quick guide that can be shared with partners—becoming imperative to the daily function and on-boarding process of the communications creative team, and external freelancers. The training guides are interactive PDF’s that pair with the video walkthroughs—and shorter versions available.

Disc Golf Logos

A series of tournament-based logo’s for an annual disc golf fundraising event, called the “Enduro Bowl,” held at De Laveaga Disc Golf Park, Santa Cruz, CA.
The tournament is directed and managed by Mark Karleskind (deladisc founder), and produced in collaboration with DDGA, and The Red Cross mobile food services. All profits for the event are for The Red Cross charities, or specific annual charity of choice.
